To solidly carry out adaptive education and training for self-employed veterans, help veterans quickly change roles, broaden their horizons for employment and entrepreneurship, and gain a close understanding of the development of high-quality local enterprises, this afternoon, a group of trainees from the 2026 Autumn Adaptive Training Class for Self-Employed Veterans in Tengzhou City and Shanting District visited Shelley Grain Silo for an on-site study visit.
Led by corporate docents, the participating veterans visited the company’s production workshops and product display area, and learned in detail about Shelley Grain Silo’s development achievements in steel plate silos for grain storage, the R&D and manufacturing of complete storage equipment, engineering project construction, and domestic and international market layout. They listened carefully to introductions on the company’s business philosophy, talent needs, job positions, and employment support for veterans. They also observed up close the production process of steel-structured grain silos and intelligent manufacturing lines, experiencing the craftsmanship spirit of striving for perfection in the real economy. Shelley Grain Silo has always remained true to its original aspiration of deeply cultivating the field of grain storage equipment and upheld the development vision of becoming a globally reliable provider of safe grain storage services. Rooted in the domestic market, its products are exported to more than 70 countries. It continues to safeguard grain reserve security with outstanding technology and help advance the high-quality development of the global grain storage industry.
During the visit, the trainees walked, observed, and exchanged views. Combining their own professional strengths, they held on-site discussions with relevant company leaders on topics such as the company’s employment needs, career development paths, and entrepreneurial directions. Everyone said that this on-site visit went beyond classroom theory, gave them a direct sense of the vitality of local industrial development, and further broadened their thinking and boosted their confidence. On the future path of employment and entrepreneurship, they will continue to carry forward the military’s fine style of daring to fight tough battles and enduring hardships, maintain the true character of soldiers, proactively learn new knowledge and master new skills, identify their own positioning, actively devote themselves to local economic development, and make new achievements on new tracks.
This study visit is an important practical teaching component of the 2026 Autumn Adaptive Training for Self-Employed Veterans in Tengzhou City and Shanting District. It adopts a “theoretical instruction + enterprise study” model, building a bridge for communication and matching between veterans and high-quality enterprises. It helps veterans understand the current local industrial situation and identify job resources, laying a solid foundation for their subsequent employment and entrepreneurship.
Next, the veterans affairs departments of the two places will continue to optimize the content of adaptive training, enrich on-site study formats, and continue to provide supporting services such as policy support, job recommendations, and entrepreneurship guidance. They will provide heartfelt and passionate service and support for veterans, guiding veterans to never fade in character after retirement and never lose their resolve after leaving the military, and to continue writing soldiers’ glory on the new journey of local development.
