China’s feed industry is rapidly moving toward large-scale and standardized production. As key raw materials, corn and soybean meal require sufficient storage capacity to ensure stable production and effective cost control. The Chinese government and Hebei Province have also introduced policies to support the upgrading of feed storage facilities and ensure the security of grain and feed supply chains.
With the expansion of Hebei Feed Factory Feed’s production capacity, its existing storage facilities faced problems such as insufficient capacity, poor storage conditions, high losses, and low automation. Raw materials had to be purchased and used as needed, making it difficult to take advantage of seasonal purchasing opportunities and mitigate price fluctuations, which restricted the company’s development.
To address these issues, the company constructed 3 × 1,200-ton corn silos, 6 × 200-ton soybean meal silos, and supporting equipment. Upon completion, the project will increase raw material storage capacity, ensure continuous production, improve storage conditions, reduce spoilage and losses, maintain raw material quality, and improve loading and unloading efficiency while reducing labor costs. It will also enable seasonal storage of bulk raw materials, strengthen the company’s ability to manage market risks, and support improved efficiency and high-quality development.
This project consists of 3 × 1,200-ton corn silos, 6 × 200-ton soybean meal silos, and supporting equipment. The process flow is as follows:
Corn is conveyed from the receiving pit to the bucket elevator, and then transported through the single-drum screen, aspiration separator, and vibrating screen. The vibrating screen separates impurities and metal particles from the corn based on differences in particle size.
The cleaned corn is then conveyed by the bucket elevator to the top of the silos. With the use of an electric three-way gate, the corn is distributed to the three 1,200-ton corn silos.
The silos are equipped with ventilation and temperature monitoring systems, which can monitor changes in grain temperature and humidity in real time, ensuring safe and proper grain storage.
Soybean meal is conveyed from the receiving pit to the bucket elevator and then transported to the top of the silos. With the use of an electric three-way gate, the soybean meal is distributed to the 200-ton soybean meal silos.
Corn and soybean meal are respectively conveyed from the bottom of the silos to the processing workshop by bottom drag chain conveyors.
After being manufactured at our factory, the equipment was transported to the Hebei Feed Factory Feed project site by logistics. Upon arrival, our installation team was dispatched to the site to unload the equipment and complete the installation and commissioning.
With the cooperation of both parties, the project was successfully completed. The project received positive feedback from the customer, who highly praised our company and the on-site engineers.
