In the equipment composition of large steel silos, the main function of the air conveying chute is to convey air into the silo. The purpose of this is to ventilate and reduce humidity, keep the silo dry, and thus ensure the storage effect of grain. However, since there are generally certain grain skins and certain impurities in the grain, it is easy to cause the blockage of the air conveying chute during ventilation. Today, the large steel silo manufacturer will introduce the reasons for the blockage of the air conveying chute in large steel silos.
(1) Due to the low temperature of the incoming clinker, the water cooling of the mill is not suitable; the amount of water sprayed in the mill is large; the mill cylinder is sprayed with water, and water penetrates from the loose bolts. Excessive free water causes part of the cement to hydrate. The moisture content of the incoming material itself is large. These will cause the air permeability of the air conveying chute to be poor and easy to block.
(2) Due to the large gap between the screen plate at the end of the mill, the rotary screen cannot discharge the slag clearly, and more iron slag and small pieces of the material out of the mill enter the air conveying chute. These iron slags accumulate on the air permeable layer, which blocks the material. The air permeability of the air permeable layer is poor, and it is difficult for the air to fully fluidize the material, making it difficult to transport, resulting in blockage.
(3) Due to the rupture of the porous plate in the air conveying chute, there are gaps between the porous plates. Part of the air blown in by the fan is ejected from the rupture or gap to form an air column. The material is blocked here and accumulates more and more, resulting in blockage of the air chute.
(4) Due to the poor sealing of the air conveying chute, there is a lot of air leakage, which cannot fully fluidize the material, making it difficult to transport, resulting in blockage.
(5) Due to the small installation slope of the air conveying chute, the material flow speed in the chute is slow. Sudden changes in the properties of the conveyed material or a sudden decrease in air volume and pressure can easily cause the air chute to be blocked.
(6) Because there is a large amount of material in the air conveying chute when the vehicle is parked, the temperature of the material drops after the vehicle is parked, condensation occurs, and the material becomes sticky and does not disperse. After the vehicle is started, the material in the chute does not flow smoothly, and transportation is difficult, resulting in blockage.
(7) Because the upper trough of the air conveying chute is not vented in time, there is a lot of residual air above the material in the chute. The upper trough is not at zero pressure or slightly negative pressure, but at a certain positive pressure. As a result, the material on the air permeable layer is subjected to downward pressure, the material is not suspended, and it is not easy to be evenly distributed or fluidized, resulting in blockage of the chute.
